About

Founded in 1998, The Kansas Police Dog Association was formed as a certifying organization for police service canine teams across the State of Kansas. Our mission is to ensure police canine teams meet the minimum standards acceptable to be deployed on the streets of Kansas. While certifications cover the minimum standards established for a working dog team, our teams strive to be more advanced. Most of our teams far exceed the minimum standards and our group exceeds the theory of our motto, "Nothing Less Than Perfection In The Application of Standards."

The members of the Kansas Police Dog Association represent law enforcement and public safety agencies from across the State of Kansas. Our teams also occasionally include agencies outside the boundaries of the State of Kansas. The training and disciplines of our teams include Patrol canines, detection canines, tracking/trailing canines, and Search and Rescue canine teams.

In addition, the Kansas Police Dog Association provides handlers throughout the State quality training opportunities, coupled with solid networking options, to ensure each team is the best team they can be for their agency.
